2018 MCLE Super Saturday


This program provides the six hours of “Special Requirement” training, within the 25 hours of total MCLE credit required for the California State Bar education needs of attorneys with last names beginning with H-M, for the compliance deadline of February 1, 2018.

+ Legal Ethics - 4 hours
+ Competence Issues - 1 hour
(formerly known as Prevention, Detection and Treatment of Substance Abuse or Mental Illness)
+ Recognition and Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession and Society - 1 hour

1. How to avoid unethical behavior in the practice of workers' compensation
2. Identifying and solving dilemmas that arise in the representation of applicants and defendants
3. How alcohol, substance abuse and mental illness can compromise an attorney's judgment leading to ethical lapses
4. How to eliminate bias and prevent injustice in the workers' compensation system.
