AWCP - Legal Mini Conference "The Right to Die and The Right to Get High!" Ethics and Compliance Conference

The Association of Workers’ Compensation Professionals (AWCP) will be holding a legal mini-conference on Friday, January 26, 2018, entitled, “The Right to Die and The Right to Get High!" The six-hour conference will be held at University of Phoenix, 2860 Gateway Oaks Drive, Sacramento, CA 95833, beginning with registration and continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Luncheon will also be served.

The conference will provide mandatory continuing education credits for attorneys in the following categories: Legal Ethics 4 hours (required), Competence Issues (formerly known as Prevention, Detection and Treatment of Substance Abuse or Mental Illness) 1 hour (required), and Recognition and Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession and Society 1 hour (required).

Six hours of continuing education for claims examiners, nurses and certified case managers are also available.

Speakers include Officer Robert Smith, California Highway Patrol, Mark Pew, PRIUM, Maureen Craft, Agile Group, David Teicheira, M.D., MEDLink, Matthew G. Seely, Esq., Hanna Brophy Sacramento and Richard S. Lieberman, M.D., Newton Medical Group.
