The Association of Workers’ Compensation Professionals (AWCP) will be holding a legal mini-conference on Friday, January 26, 2018, entitled, “The Right to Die and The Right to Get High!" The six-hour conference will be held at University of Phoenix, 2860 Gateway Oaks Drive, Sacramento, CA 95833, beginning with registration and continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Luncheon will also be served.
The conference will provide mandatory continuing education credits for attorneys in the following categories: Legal Ethics 4 hours (required), Competence Issues (formerly known as Prevention, Detection and Treatment of Substance Abuse or Mental Illness) 1 hour (required), and Recognition and Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession and Society 1 hour (required).
Six hours of continuing education for claims examiners, nurses and certified case managers are also available.
