Commission Meets Today to Review Department Reports

The South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission will meet today to consider a range of annual reports on the budget, employer compliance, medical bill reviews, claims processing and more.

The claims department processed almost 16,500 cases, a drop of 4% from the previous month, according to a report that is to be discussed at the meeting. The department collected $37,800 in fines in April, a decrease of $12,500 from the previous month, the report shows.

The meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Hearing Room A, 1333 Main St., in Columbia. The agenda and reports are available here.
