Dr. Steven Feinberg is a Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a California Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME), based in Palo Alto.
Dr. Feinberg is a Stanford University School of Medicine Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Departments of Anesthesia/Pain Management. In 2006, he received the Stanford Pain Management Center Award for Teaching Excellence.
Dr. Feinberg is a past president (1996) of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He is a former president and member of the Board of Directors of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery (CSIMS). He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Chronic Pain Association, and as the Medical Director for Cedaron AMA Guides Software.
He served on the Panel and as Associate Editor of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) Chronic Pain Guidelines 2008 update, served as a consultant to the ACOEM Low Back Chapter update in 2007 and separately also serves as a consultant to the Official Disability Guidelines (ODG). Dr. Feinberg has special interest and expertise as an IME, Agreed Medical Evaluator (AME), Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME), in Functional Restoration Pain Management, and in AMA Guides Impairment Rating.
