Overview:

Words, and attitudes, have consequences. When it comes to employers and employees, and workers' compensation payers and claimants, an adversarial relationship in word and/or deed is counterproductive. What can stakeholders do differently to establish a more empathetic environment? This interactive presentation will present some guiding principles and real-life examples in establishing a culture where #WordsMatter.

Learning Objectives:

- Identify key areas where words and attitudes can impact the ability for Work Comp to be effective
- Learn how American Airlines changed their corporate culture to one of trust
- Create a to-do list that attendees can utilize to affect their own change (personal and corporate)
