Workers’ compensation defense firm Reinisch Wilson Weier is holding a one-day educational seminar in September that will cover case law affecting the Washington state workers’ compensation system, as well as the independent medical examination process.
The Washington Claims School event will feature a session discussing the role of IMEs and alternative methods for resolving disputes over a worker’s claimed medical condition. Another session will discuss how surveillance can be used as an alternative to supplemental IMEs to resolve medical disputes.
The seminar will also include a session explaining the significance of decisions issued by the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, the Washington Court of Appeals and the state Supreme Court.
The 2018 Washington Claims School is Sept. 12 at Kruse Oaks Conference Center, 5300 Meadows Road, in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Registration is $59 per person.
