First, it was telemedicine. Now, it's tele-comp.
The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has unveiled a series of videos designed to explain the world of workers' compensation to injured workers and others who may not be familiar with the system, according to information from the division.
“People are busy these days and are much more likely to watch a video to learn about something new,” said Ryan Brannan, the commissioner of workers’ compensation. “Part of our mission is to educate all system participants, and this is a proactive way to help injured employees get a better understanding of workers’ comp.”
The short videos cover workers' compensation basics, benefits, returning to work, disputes and complaints, and how to get help, and can be found at the division website.
