Why does the fraud unit not file complaints of fraud by employers and or their insurers, QME' & others involved, on behalf of injured workers? Injured workers have brought many obvious claims and complaints of fraud and still, no one will take a complaint, not even a police officer within the fraud unit and certainly a DA in SAC. CA will say that there isn't enough for reasonable doubt. What ever happened to probable cause charge used on injured workers. Is this a one sided fraud unit because self insurers pay for the fraud unit in CA? IF injured workers paid for the Insurance DA fraud unit, would they then get their charges and complaints of fraud against employers, heard and prosecuted? Just wanting to know how this type of justice all works!
