Workers’ compensation medical cost containment firm Genex Services launched a mobile managed care platform called Unity.

The software platform will deliver case updates to appropriate parties, and allow payers and employers to easily coordinate the services needed on a claim, Genex said in a statement.

Unity will provide data, care management insights and “event-driven workflow processing” covering the continuum of medical management services, including case management, independent medical examinations, ancillary services and disability management.

Genex said it anticipates that Unity will lead to stronger treatment protocols and ultimately help drive better claim outcomes. And the mobile application will give all parties real-time access to claim information.
