In my experience in dealing with these "occupational accident insurance policies," provided to "independent contractors," they are very difficult to obtain any benefits from, and afford little if any opportunity to challenge the denial of benefits to someone injured at work.They are far from equal to benefits available in workers compensation, although they are sold to the Independent Contractors as the same thing as workers compensation.
