Montana State Fund declared a $20 million dividend, according to a report by the Great Falls Tribune.
The newspaper reports that the average return of $900 is equal to a return of about 15%. Dividend payments will range from $18 to $325,587, the Tribune reports.
It’s not clear from the report whether Montana State Fund will apply account credits for any business receiving a dividend under $100, as it did in 2019. The report also doesn’t mention the policy year for which the dividend was approved.
The $30 million dividend Montana State Fund approved in 2019 applied to policyholders with coverage for at least six months during the period from July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017.
The Montana State Fund website as of Wednesday afternoon included information about the 2019 dividend only.
