Texas Mutual Insurance Co. on Wednesday announced that Bill Potter will serve as its new chief financial officer.
Potter assumed the role following the retirement of Mike Barron, who served as CFO for 17 years.
Potter brought 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and business leadership with him when he joined Texas Mutual in 2018 as vice president of premium audit. The carrier said the policyholder audit satisfaction rate was 98% under Potter’s leadership.
Potter is a certified public accountant. He earned a bachelor’s in accounting and finance from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton.
“Bill was a natural choice as the successor for our CFO role,” Rich Gergasko, Texas Mutual president and CEO, said in a statement. “His prior experience, both within Texas Mutual and throughout the industry, gives him beneficial insight in his new role."
