Gregory Hubachek, a longtime claimants' attorney in Metairie, has been elected chairman of Louisiana Workers' Advocates.
"As a lawyer, I have been in the field of workers' compensation for over three decades now, and it is something that is near and dear to my heart,” Hubachek said in a news release. “To be chosen as the chairman of Louisiana Workers' Advocates is a great honor, and I'm proud to have been selected from among a group of very talented candidates. I look forward to continuing to help my clients and workers across Louisiana get the compensation they deserve."
Hubachek has testified a number of times on workers' compensation issues before Louisiana House and Senate committees, and has presented to attorney organizations and regulators.
He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California's Hastings College of Law.
Louisiana Workers' Advocates includes attorneys around the state who strive for worker-friendly legislation, and represent injured workers in claims and appeals.
