Joe Paduda from Health Strategy Associates will be speaking to employers on what a single payer system might look like in California at the California Self-Insurers Association conference, he is the keynote speaker on April 8, 2019. Recommend hearing this dynamic speaker discuss these issues!

Anything that could simplify the process of getting medical treatment to injured workers would be a huge improvement. The current system of MPNs, UR, and IMR just does not work, at least for those injured who need treatment.

Absolutely not in favor of a single pay system. It will take any competition out and put the whole process in the hands of the bureaucrats. I give you CMS and the MSA program that is currently in place for workers' comp claims. A nightmare most of the time in time delay, time lost and what seems to be capricious increases to just about every claim submitted for approval.
