Medicolegal experts are moving to the virtual environment. There are pros. cons, and a myriad of issues pertaining to performing virtual independent medical evaluations, aka, AMEs and QMEs. For some evaluations, such psych, this is an easier task than a complex orthopedic evaluation requiring specific measurements; however, perhaps these could be obtained from the records or a PT going to the home while the physician is remote.
