New York is NOT a reverse offset state, except in cases involving death benefits where the recipient is receiving Social Security survivors benefits. Since that is not the subject of the article (which relates to disability benefits), it is factually incorrect with regard to New York.

What the article doesn't mention is that SSDI benefits are paid into half by the emplloyer and half by the employee. In some states, like Florida, 100% of the benefit is calculated into the 80% cap, when in reality, only half of the SSDI benefit should be used and is used in some of the other reverse offset states.
I can't wait to see how NCCI will figure this into the next rate filing if it passes.

Some injured workers in CA.,were given SSI NOT SSDI & the employers pay nothing in either comp benefits or half of SSDI to the injured workers.
