As I testified before the AD during a public hearing, there needs to be regulations regarding bill review companies who continually and inappropriately deny payment of medical-legal expenses, they pay one line and deny the rest for arbitrary reasons. So what, they have to reimburse the $180, no penalty, no interest for failing to appropriately review the bills. It falls on the provider to have to complete the 2nd bill review, copy, pay postage and wait only to have to send it to IBR again, pay someone to prepare, pay the IBR fee, copy, mail, pay postage and expenses all for them to say they are owed it and the insurance company only is "fined" $180. to reimburse the fee. This is horrible and this system needs to be addressed and fixed!!!
