Melissa Galea has worked in the transportation industry for over 16 years. She attended Broward Business College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is OSHA Certified for the Transport of Bloodborne Pathogens and she is a nationwide Certified CEU instructor on the topics of Air Ambulance and Medical Escorts. Melissa currently holds the position of Transportation Manager for MTI and has been with the company since 2007. She has consistently increased and maintained a very high success rate in patient transportation for the company. She manages strategic vendor negotiations pertaining to transportation services and has built and maintains a strong nationwide vendor network. Melissa was instrumental in the development of the Air Ambulance and Medical Escort Division for MTI, where the success rate for patient transport is 100% and holding for the last 5 years. Her specialty includes repatriation of injured patients worldwide. She has completed hundreds of successful air ambulance and medical escort transfers, both domestic and international for the insurance industry as well as the private sector.
