Karen Parker’s credentials include a Master’s in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and all line adjusting licensure in Texas and Louisiana. She has over 22 years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation and General Liability Claims Management including claims adjusting, claim auditing, litigation management, return to work programs, and third-party vendor management. Ms. Parker provided oversight for liability and workers’ compensation claims for a large oil and gas supplier and 13 years managing Workers’ Compensation for a major airline. She contributed to the development of a Litigation Management program for both companies. As a risk management senior analyst, she produced and analyzed data to support risk allocation and loss development. In addition, her background also includes handling auto liability, workers’ compensation, general liability, Longshore/Jones Act, Defense Base Act claims and subrogation recovery. In her current role as Vice President of Operations & Claims Administration for MedicusRx, Ms. Parker reviews and manages all litigation including settlements and settlement recommendations; monitor the effectiveness of defense counsel, authorize ancillary vendors and services, which include legal referrals, use of nurse case managers, investigation services, job analysis and lien resolution. Ms. Parker’s all line licensures allow her to support all lines of coverage for MedicusRx.
