CIGA should probably stop some of their litigation techniques as ALL the employers in California are paying for it. We need CIGA, but they should have to answer to the employers for their perceived wasteful spending on litigation. Perhaps someone should look into how CIGA conducts their Workers' Compensation program such as the apparent lack of auditing 3rd party files, possible mis-use of the Post office to
mail IW checks, the stating that certain vendors are on their MPN, but are not listed. There seem to be a lot of issues that the Ca employers are paying for that may be a waste--fighting cases like this may be one of them

Happy to read CIGA is doing the right thing for this patient. I do not understand the denials for home modifications for those who are in a wheel chair.
When I read the IMR decisions on the states webpage it breaks my heart. For every denial there is a person who may be suffering for it.
