The Workers' Compensation Institute will host its annual conference Aug. 19-22 in Orlando, Florida, featuring entertainment from the popular 1980s rock band the B-52s, and motivational words from keynote speaker Lee Corso, an ESPN sports analyst and former head coach.
The conference agenda also includes talks and breakout sessions on a wide range of issues, including technology in claims management, national trends in workers' compensation, drug formularies, medical marijuana, the aging workforce, a case law update, along with a moot court competition and an awards ceremony.
The conference will be at the Orlando World Center Marriott, and registration can be done through the WCI website. The cost is $320 through July 30, or $350 per person for registrations made after July 30. Refunds are not available for cancellations after Aug. 6, the institute's site shows.
Separate registration is required for several continuing education and certification classes, and for the golf tournament.
