Bravo for a judge having the fortitude to make a stand against the onslaught of (generally) post-termination CT claims that are being filed en masse at the Van Nuys board. These claims, many of which are being filed by out of the area practitioners, have resulted in clogging up the system and delaying the claims which properly have been assigned venue in Van Nuys. Walk-through approvals of completed settlements at VNO have been significantly curtailed due in large part to the judges' calendars being clogged with hearings, more so than any other district office in SoCal. Consider limiting filings when the only connection to VNO is the attorney's principal place of business, which should help direct venue to other boards where the applicants live and the injuries have 'occurred'.
