The Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association announced this week that its  members will provide data to the National Council on Compensation Insurance as part of a nationwide study.

Insurers will initially provide indemnity transaction data for the second quarter of 2020, and the data will be used for legislative analysis and internal research, according to a news release from the association. Final implementation of the program is subject to approval by the Minnesota Commerce Department.

The NCCI has indicated that most member companies that would be impacted have already been notified of the plan, the group said.

More information about the indemnity data call is available on the NCCI website, or by contacting MWCIA’s Actuarial Services Department at 952-897-1737 (option 3) or via email at actuarial@mwcia.org.
