This is a very good idea, the technology worked throughout the pandemic and for several years afterwards. It will have little or no impact fiscally and we can get rid of the inconsistencies of where we can use electronic signatures and where we cannot. Using electronic signatures has been a godsend for many of my clients that are unhoused, in transition between addresses, whose only lifeline is there phone/Internet, clients who have moved out of state, clients who routinely have their mail stolen or have ambulatory/transportation difficulties. The two witness requirement is as antiquated as thermal fax paper. Bankruptcy, family, superior courts all allow electronic signatures, This would be a good thing for injured workers, has no negative impact on any stakeholder in the process and will improve document processing efficiency.
