Former Texas workers' compensation commissioner Ryan Brannan, who left the agency last year to start a lobbying and consulting firm, is now partnering with a Dallas law firm.
Brannan, owner of the Brannan Firm, an Austin-based government relations company, will serve as of counsel to the Glast, Phillips & Murray law firm, Brannan said in an emailed news release. The arrangement will provide specialized legal services and lobbying, said Brannan, who has a law degree from the University of Oklahoma.
“As former commissioner of the Texas Division of Workers' Compensation, with in-depth knowledge of Texas government, his superior skill set and experience will be a tremendous asset and help bolster our presence in Austin,” Glast Phillips attorney Joe Zopolsky said.
The law firm's website shows it handles a wide range of legal issues, including employment and labor, real estate and employee benefits cases.
