Lauren Gregory joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president of Alliant Specialty Group, Public Entity.
Gregory will be located in New York and will focus on developing new public entity and construction clients, and build a team to bolster services for public agencies on the East Coast, Alliant said in a statement.
Prior to joining Alliant, Gregory was executive vice president of a global insurance brokerage firm where she worked closely with the world’s largest port authority and some of the largest public entities in the country, including the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority as director of MTA Risk and Insurance Management.
Gregory has also served as senior vice president of a risk management consulting firm where she specialized in captives. Alliant said that of particular note, Gregory formed the first captive insurance company in New York and was appointed as its president in 2003.
