It is unfortunate that bulk of the effort is focused on claimant fraud when, for instance, employer premium fraud in the workers’ compensation space in industries like construction is such a huge problem, costing insurers hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars. The habit of passing along fraud losses to employers in the construction industry who don’t cheat is just making them less competitive and incentivizes them to get involved themselves in workers’ comp premium fraud schemes.
