The proposal for permanent telehealth requires that every third visit be in-person. Every initial visit must be in-person. For behavioral health care this will result in thousands of patients being unable to continue treatment, including many who live in areas without authorized mental health providers.
No other health care system limits telehealth in this way, they allow for unlimited telehealth visits with no demand for in-person visits. If adopted, patients will suffer.
