The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court announced that former judge Mark A. Buchholz died at the age of 92.
Buchholz died April 17 in Lincoln.
He was appointed to the court by Gov. J.J. Exon, effective Aug. 1, 1972, and served until his retirement on Feb. 28, 1994. Buchholz returned to the bench to serve six additional months from April 1, 2007, through Sept. 30, 2007.
Buchholz was engaged in the private practice of law before he was appointed to the court.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in 1951 and his law degree from the University of Nebraska in 1955.
