Patients sees several different doctors, per body system, i.e., Respiratory, Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Psychological, Chiropractors, Physical Therapy, Internal, Orthopedic, General Practitioner, Pain Management etc. If one clears to return to work,
the others do not. If you put, all of these categories on one form, It will put a demand on the medical provider to stick to his profession and make a ruling from his particular field, instead of just carrying data over from care provider.
This same example need to be also applied to Pain. Each of the above mentioned fields of service also have pain that goes specifically with that field. It is not fair to the patient to ask their pain level from 1-10. That number is determined on which type of pain. A total different category is pain from going to a doctor and the air conditioner goes to cold, and pain is derived from it being cold, and diseases related to the cold, climbing the stairs to get to the provider's office and pain increased after activity,
Physical Therapy, when patients are in physical therapy, the therapist working on the patient should not the muscles actually worked on and changes that they physically see.
All of the above are necessary to be on one form, so that the third party CMS, who has no contact with the patient, can actually see the patient on paper, and make a more informed decision.
As it goes, ALL THE DOCTORS DO NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER, NOR SEE HOW MANY DOCTORS ARE TREATING THE PATIENT AT THE SAME TIME.
