Only 6% of treatment requests are modified or denied ? Thats got to be the most unbelievable statistic I have ever heard.
Many claims administrators send ever single request for medical treatment to UR, which routinely deny the request for medical treatment, which is them rubber stamped by IMR. This is despite the fact it is an admitted case, and the applicant is treating in the MPN.
No matter how you present it, we all know its a system currently designed to routinely deny medical treatment, without any effective basis for an appeal. Sad days for anyone unfortunate enough to be injured at work.

Should re-classify IMR as a treatment denial expense.

It's the ole Find the pea under the walnut shell game only this time there ain't no pea to look for. Reminds me the lyric in the song "Smiling Faces".... "Beware of the hand that pats you on the back".... Can you say "Schuck and Jive".
