Zurich North America named Carl Sutter head of distribution for the U.S. middle market.

Sutter will manage Zurich’s regional field distribution team, representing all company business units in the marketplace and operating as executive leader spanning the entire organization.

He will report to Alex Wells, head of U.S. middle market, and will become a member of the middle market senior leadership team and Zurich North America’s leadership team.

Sutter joins Zurich from Chubb, where he served as senior vice president of partnership services for its third-party administrator subsidiary, ESIS.

Previously, he held several leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Chubb and its predecessor, ACE USA, including senior vice president, national distribution leader and national corporate risk segment leader.

Sutter earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rider University.
