Crime pays, apparently. As it seems, this appears to be an open invite to fraudsters everywhere. If you're caught, you'll only need to pay back 10% of what you stole, a $100 fine, and 25% of jailtime which will likely be significantly reduced anyhow. When I read that he is a repeat offender of fraud and this remained the sentence, I was floored. This is directly placed on the backs of employers, insured or self-insured, who are already struggling during this pandemic. Was the Judge paid off?
