There are certainly more Injured Workers than money. Right now half the Workers do not apply, but applications still tapped about 95 million of the Fund. The numbers are still trending upward, but hopefully it will always be an issue.

If ALL Workers apply, the money will easily be exhausted, and Workers settling after Tax Day could be rejected. That just trades one problem for another, and you KNOW who they are going to call: “Where is the free money you promised me!”

Let me guess...any surplus reverts to the General Fund? The article should discuss that issue. Instead, I will simply assume that California is profiting from the situation and thus the legislative inaction, which will continue if it is, in fact, profiting.
