Coventry Webinar to Explore Cannabis in Comp

Coventry WCS is hosting a webinar Wednesday to explore the workers’ compensation impact of state regulations and laws allowing the medical use of cannabis.

Nikki Wilson, director of pharmacy products for Coventry, and Lisa Anne Bickford, director of regulatory and government affairs for Coventry, will review the latest regulatory trends relating to cannabis. Wilson and Bickford will also discuss the clinical aspects of cannabis use and the potential implications for the work comp industry.

Continuing education credits for adjusters are available in states that include California, Florida, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Texas. Credits are available for certified case managers and registered nurses nationwide.

The webinar is from 2-3 p.m. Eastern Wednesday. The program will be repeated Nov. 4.
