Akeso said the purchase marks its fourth major acquisition in the last year and brings its total number of clinics in California to seven.
South Coast Medical Clinic was created in 1981 for the industrial and service community to provide quality occupational medicine, including work injury care, physical therapy, drug testing, Department of Transportation physical exams and pre-placement exams.
“By combining our strengths, we will be able to reinforce Akeso’s commitment to advancing the delivery of quality health care services to set new standards for occupational health care,” Kunal Kain, board chairman for Akeso Medical Holdings, said in a statement.
