Applicants’ law firm McLaughlin & Sanchez recently announced its new name to reflect a new partnership handling workers’ compensation cases primarily in San Diego and Southern California.

Since 2012, the San Diego firm has been known as the Law Office of Robert A. McLaughlin. Attorney Denise LaVerde Sanchez joined as an associate attorney in 2014 and was recently made a partner, the firm said in a statement.

In addition to California workers’ compensation, the firm handles California cases involving employment law, wage and hour law, Social Security disability insurance and personal injury claims. The firm also handles Longshore Act and Defense Base Act cases throughout the country.

McLaughlin is a graduate of the San Diego School of Law and has been practicing in California since 1990.

Sanchez is a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law and has been practicing in California since 2000.
