AmTrust Financial Services Inc. named Daniel Hargraves executive vice president and head of litigation.

AmTrust said Hargraves has extensive experience in insurance litigation. He was most recently managing partner of the New York office of Freeborn & Peters, where his practice concentrated on litigating and arbitrating disputes on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, brokers, underwriting agents and pools.

Hargraves will report jointly to Chairman and CEO Barry Zyskind, and Executive Vice President and CFO Adam Karkowsky.
