Competition in the MPN marketplace would be a good thing, not something to fear.
Employers would get their employees back sooner. Employees would get quick and efficient treatment. Private MPN's would need to do a better job - or drop out of the market.
What's not to love?

Think bigger my friend Tom. How does this play out, realistically? In no way, absolutely, can this be a good thing for the industry - employers or especially employees. This ONLY benefits applicant attys - by whom this law was drafted by and for. EEs can change doctors at any time? Obviously an AA favor. Sounds good, but this is NOT for the benefit of the injured worker.

TRY CHANGING PHYSICIANS WITHIN THE MPN. CHOOSE 3 PHYSICIANS AND MORE THAN LIKE TWO OF THEM AREN'T SEEING NEW WORKERS COMP PATIENTS. THE OTHER WILL REQUIRE SENDING RECORDS AND RESPOND MAYBE ONE MONTH LATER. FREE MARKET MPN'S WILL WORK.

If the employer MPNs are so great (they aren't) then they shouldn't fear competition. Frankly we should abolish MPNs altogether and allow the injured worker free choice of physicians. You have the fee schedule and treatment guidelines and UR etc. to ration care and protect corporate profits, at least let the patient choose their physician. Mark Gearheart

If Mr. Siegel is ever injured on the job he will discover that most of the doctors on the MPN are either retired or deceased, or they don't do comp. If he thinks calliing the DMV is bad, then try getting ahold of the so-called MPN assistance line, It's a thousand times worse.

Big business and the insurance companies want to control all medical treatment and medical legal so they can destroy lives to make money for the billionaire class. They are all modern day Amalekites.
