The legislators who complain about the cost of living in California and demand higher taxes for the homeless and affordable housing turn around and write laws that are certain to further increase the cost of living. The hypocrisy is maddening.

Denying the protection of the presumptions to nurses and other frontline hospital workers is blatant sexism, plain and simple. It's wrong.
The problem with our health care costs is the for profit model, not the nurses asking for equal treatment. We need single payer.
